Because
these systems are "high band", up to twelve systems can be operated
simultaneously in the same facility without frequency interaction. Because the receivers have frequency crystals that are easily removed, it
is possible to "combine" multiple smaller systems into one large
system. (Please see the drawing below for a graphic example). The receiver crystals from System 2 (operating on frequency
"B") and System 3 (operating on frequency "C") can be
removed and replaced with frequency "A" crystals. This allows a company to combine three, 10 attendee tour systems into a
single, 30 attendee system with1
tour guide (all on frequency "A"). Another option is to remove only 5 of the frequency crystals from System
2 and 3 and replace them with frequency "A" crystals. This allows the configuration of a single, 1 by 20 system and
two, 1 by 5 systems. Quite a few
combinations are possible. Please
contact Integrated Audio Systems for further information.
Also available is an option that replaces the plug-in crystal with a switch. The switch is mounted on top of each receiver, allowing the attendee to toggle between two pre-determined frequencies. This option saves on system management costs by eliminating manual crystal changes.
