Case Study:

“Every month the CEO of our company makes a visit to a specific department in one of our three production facilities.  During his visit all the department heads attend a tour of the selected department.  While a tour guide provides the basic tour, the department head provides specifics as to the production techniques used.  Then the CEO asks questions of the department head. We need three microphones so that the tour guide, department head, and the CEO can speak. The system needs to be as simple as possible to use.  We want to avoid push-to-talk (PTT) buttons”.

Solution:

By using repeater receivers (each operating on a different frequency) we achieve simultaneous operation of three microphones.  Furthermore, two of the three microphones can be handheld ‘pass around’ type microphone. This design is offers full duplex operation and avoids the use of push-to-talk buttons.

Case Study:

"Our company prefers to move attendees around our tour route using a 'tugger' and trailers.  Attendees stay seated in the trailers the entire route.  However, the tour guide needs a wireless system so they can leave the tugger to point out specific production equipment.  We prefer not to ‘wire up’ each attendee with a personal receiver and headphone. We also want to hear the audio from our wall mounted televisions without having to blast it across the aisle and disturbing our floor employees. How can we integrate this technology into our tour trains?"

Solution:

By tapping into the tugger’s rechargeable battery, we can obtain power to operate two on-board wireless receivers, an equalizer and a power amplifier. One receiver hears the headworn microphone / belt pack transmitter worn by the tour guide. The other receiver hears the audio being transmitted by each television’s DVD player. The power amplifier provides the necessary wattage to drive the speakers in each trailer while the equalizer allows the speakers to be tuned for natural sound and greater gain before feedback.
