Case Study:

"Our plant floor is extremely noisy.  We have measured ambient production noise of over 100 decibels!  We need to take key accounts out on to the floor to discuss production processes.  Do you have any system that will provide hearing protection yet allow us to communicate in such a hostile environment?"

Solution:

Our very high ambient noise systems are designed for environments that average 95 to 105 dBA over a majority of the tour route.  The headphones utilize a compression band that helps seal the closed ear cups to the side of the head.  These units are quite effective - offering an average of 25 decibels of factory noise attenuation. However, they are not very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.  If you are dealing with impact noise (e.g. a drop forge) they may just what you need.  The headset (what the tour guide wears) features a noise cancelling microphone.  Headphones are for the attendees.  These systems can be combined with our wireless question and answer equipment to gather questions.  Note: These are custom headsets / headphones (made in the USA to our specification) and have a 6 week lead time. They are also available as hardhat compatible.

Additional Information:

Depending on the production floor sound pressure level you may be able to dispense foam ear plugs to attendees and use our less expensive, highly efficient lightweight headphones.  These headphones have the power handling capability and efficiency to ‘drive through’ the foam ear plugs so that attendees can hear the tour guide’s message.
